Event Enrollment

General

For the most part we encourage members to post events to assist in the support for the persons (Official Event Organizers) offering the event, rather than as an official registry for said event. In other words, the enrollment process should be disabled. That said, this can also serve as an adjunct in that by allowing enrollments to your posted event can serve as a reminder system for those who have enrolled or are following the event!

However, in certain circumstances such as Open Public Events such as Organizing Rallies etc., or something less formal where you are the event organizer and wish to throw an event strictly for members of your (geographically practical) group or the Crew List community at large in your area or perhaps an online event, utilizing this service to track your member enrollments is a great idea!

Cancelling your enrollment

When you’ve enrolled in an event, you can cancel the enrollment by clicking on the 'Enrolled' button and then clicking on 'cancel enrollment'.

Following an event

When you’ve enrolled for an event, you will also automatically ‘follow’ this event and receive (e-mail) notifications when someone comments on this event. The e-mail notifications can be turned off on the account settings page.

Furthermore...

  • It is possible to unfollow any event.
  • It is not possible to enroll for events with an end date in the past.
  • Under certain circumstances, you can enroll in events belonging to an open group where you are not a member. You will join this group automatically after enrolling for the event.
