I was inspired to work in this crazy business by my experiences as a teenager dancing in American Bandstand!
For three seasons, we'd pile ourselves into someone's car, each with 4 wardrobe changes (Strict dress code: Ties and a sports coat or sweater for the guys; skirts or dresses for the girls) so we could shoot a month's worth of episodes on a Saturday Afternoon at ABC Prospect Studio or another venue.
The show's Producer and Host, was an American radio and television personality, television producer and film actor named Dick Clark was cool as a cucumber and really set the tone each month. I observed the crew working as a team and having such a great time that it left an impression on me that survived to that day when I HAD to pick a college major which became Radio/TV/Film and that started the ball rolling to a 40+ year career!
